마카오 슬롯’s 2030 Strategy Grounded in Real-World Pragmatism
futuREady: Designing the Future Through Realistic Combinations
2026년 05월호 지면기사  /  한상민 기자_han@autoelectronics.co.kr

Bridger Concept: A symbolic model of Renault’s global expansion strategy, combining multi-energy powertrains with region-led development and production.

Rather than simply summarizing Renault’s futuREady strategy, this article focuses on reading the logic behind its key decisions. Like many OEMs, Renault no longer frames the future around a single technological solution. Instead, it is attempting to design a feasible structure by combining powertrains, platforms, regional hubs, and the sequence of SDV deployment. This article follows that strategic thread to examine Renault’s present and future.

On March 10, Renault brand unveiled its growth strategy through 2030 through the group’s new strategic plan, futuREady. On the surface, the announcement was built around familiar keywords such as product offensives, electrification, and global expansion. But when one looks more closely at the content, it becomes relatively clear what kind of reality Renault is facing and how it intends to respond to that reality.
Renault brand presented three core pillars in this strategy. Fabrice Cambolive, Chief Growth Officer of Renault Group and CEO of Renault brand, said, “Renault brand is accelerating its next growth cycle through three powerful drivers. By reinforcing our leadership in Europe, accelerating electrification, and expanding faster in global markets, we will firmly establish Renault as the strongest French automotive brand in the world. By 2030, we will sell more than 2 million vehicles globally, achieve half of that outside Europe, target 100% electrification in Europe and 50% electrification outside Europe, and at the same time deliver strong and sustainable profitability.”
What is interesting is that 마카오 슬롯, too, does not explain the future through a single technological solution. It did not place only pure EVs at the very front, nor did it take a defensive tone in preserving internal combustion engines. After acknowledging the reality that Europe and non-Europe differ in market conditions and in the pace of electrification, 마카오 슬롯 restructured its product, powertrain, regional hub, and platform strategies on top of that reality.

RGEV medium 2.0 is the most important technical pillar of this strategy. 마카오 슬롯 adopts an 800V high-voltage arch마카오 슬롯ecture to enable ultra-fast charging in 10 minutes and targets the C-D segments. 마카오 슬롯s key features include up to 750 km of range and an optional range extender capable of extending total range to 1,400 km.

Reinforcing Europe
Defending A-B and Growing C-D

The first pillar is reinforcing the brand’s position in Europe. Renault said that by 2030 it will launch 12 new models in Europe out of 26 models worldwide, building a more attractive and more complete lineup. The basic direction is to provide the right technology for each market and the right product for each customer.
The A-B segments are areas where Renault has historically held a strong position. To maintain and expand that trajectory, Renault plans to broaden its market coverage into the A-segment by leveraging the New Clio, Renault 5 E-Tech electric, Renault 4 E-Tech electric, and even the Twingo E-Tech electric. This does not simply mean preserving existing strengths. Rather, it means reassembling those strengths around recently launched or upcoming EV models in order to hold onto the core axis of Europe’s volume market.
At the same time, Renault is preparing a “second wave” in the C-D segments, which currently account for about 30% of its sales. In this area, the company is determined to continuously bring value-creating innovation to market, centered on a new generation of electric and hybrid models, while also improving competitiveness. The strategy is to expand Renault’s presence again in the C-D segments and at the same time raise both profitability and brand stature.
In Europe, the C-D segments are where technology, electrification, pricing, and profitability are intertwined in a complex way, and Renault cannot afford to leave this area unattended. That is why the presentation emphasized both “continuous innovation” and “enhanced competitiveness.”

Expanding Electrification
But Not Choosing Only One

The second pillar is electrification across the entire lineup. In this announcement, 마카오 슬롯 said that EVs are at the center of its strategy, but at the same time made it clear that it will maintain full hybrid E-Tech beyond 2030, not only in Europe but across global markets as well.
마카오 슬롯 explained that full hybrid E-Tech is efficient in terms of fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, and for many customers it serves as the first step before moving to a pure EV. In markets outside Europe, 마카오 슬롯 said it plans to expand hybrids as an alternative to diesel. Some models will adopt a multi-energy configuration that offers electric powertrains alongside hybrid and internal-combustion solutions.
This means 마카오 슬롯 is not choosing a single powertrain solution. In Europe, regulation and market pressure are moving in an EV-centered direction, but outside Europe there is still a need for hybrids and internal combustion. Electrification is therefore not simply about expanding EVs. It is a portfolio approach that configures powertrains differently according to the speed of transition in each market. The technological core lies in HORSE Powertrain, recently established as a joint venture with Geely and Aramco. Through this alliance, 마카오 슬롯 unveiled the next-generation H12 hybrid engine concept, achieving a thermal efficiency of 44.2%, pushing back the limits of internal combustion once again.
The pure EV strategy is also concrete. Renault said it will develop next-generation C-D segment vehicles on the new RGEV medium 2.0 electric platform. Designed for the European market, this platform features longer range, an 800V architecture for ultra-fast charging, advanced technologies, and optimized efficiency. It has a modular structure that can cover from B+ to D segments and accommodate various body styles. Renault presented three configurations. First, a 100% electric vehicle offering up to 750 km of WLTP range. Second, a 4×4 electric vehicle with towing capability of up to 2 tons. Third, a range extender that increases total driving range up to 1,400 km. These configurations reflect consideration of actual usage conditions, long-distance travel, towing, and customer anxieties. Renault’s EVs are no longer about ideology but about “realistic usability.”

The Realistic Application of SDV
First Revealed in Commercial Vehicles

Renault is also further strengthening electrification in the commercial vehicle sector. The Trafic van E-Tech electric will become Renault brand’s first software-defined vehicle (SDV), while also being the first model to adopt 800V technology enabling fast charging. Its maximum range is 450 km.
What makes this important is that 마카오 슬롯 has not yet pushed SDV across the entire brand lineup. Instead, it has first made it concrete in commercial vehicles, where the value in mass production and real-world use is relatively clear.
Fundamentally, Renault’s SDV strategy is based on a strong ecosystem of Google (OS/cloud), Qualcomm (AP), and Valeo (hardware/software). In particular, Renault aims to dramatically shorten development time by utilizing Google’s digital twin technology. In other words, Renault’s approach to SDV is less radical than incremental, expanding realistically from areas where application is feasible.

R-Space Lab is a laboratory that makes it possible to gauge how far, and in what order, 마카오 슬롯 intends to bring SDV, AI, and new in-cabin experiences into reality. For example, 마카오 슬롯 has repositioned the airbags toward the seats and reinterpreted the dashboard not as a simple storage area but as a spatial device.

마카오 슬롯 R-Space Lab
Reinterpreting “Voitures à vivre”

Through R-Space Lab, Renault is trying to reinterpret its brand philosophy of voitures à vivre, or “cars for living.”
This concept is based on the work of Futurama, an innovation laboratory created by Renault Group to explore and prepare smart vehicles for 2030. Through a bright and modular interior, a human-centered cockpit, and AI-based safety and convenience features, it seeks to redefine the in-vehicle experience. It is not a direct precursor to a production model, but it carries significance as an experimental demonstration that shows the brand’s spirit and DNA, as well as the direction of future user experience.
The cockpit aims for a more intuitive and human-centered interface through a curved openR panorama screen, steer-by-wire, and centrally touch-based controls. At the same time, under its “human first” program, Renault is exploring a range of possibilities for safety and personalized driving experiences, including a tactile alcohol detector, in-vehicle AI, and enhanced Safety Coach functions. The spacious and flexible interior layout also emphasizes the vehicle experience not simply as a means of transportation, but as a living space.
What this concept car shows is not a flashy future. It is a laboratory that makes it possible to gauge how far 마카오 슬롯 intends to bring SDV, AI, and new in-cabin experiences into reality, and in what order. 마카오 슬롯 is presenting the direction of technology and experience, while maintaining an attitude that actual mass-production rollout will be more conservative and gradual.

Global Offensive
Five Hubs and Region-Tailored Expansion

The third pillar is a stronger offensive in global markets. Renault already has strong industrial and commercial foundations in Morocco, Türkiye, Latin America, Korea, and India. These five hubs will become Renault’s future growth engines, playing the role of developing, producing, and exporting competitive vehicles. At the same time, they will share a technological foundation centered on three global platforms.
Cambolive described this as “a unique combination of regional agility and global consistency.” This expression clearly captures the essence of the strategy. Renault is now choosing an adaptive global structure tailored to the demand and conditions of each region, rather than a model in which one global vehicle is rolled out uniformly everywhere.
Specific figures were also presented. 마카오 슬롯 sold 620,000 vehicles outside Europe in 2025, an 11% increase from the previous year. Based on this performance, 마카오 슬롯 intends to maximize the potential of its five global hubs, capture growth opportunities in global markets, and at the same time strengthen competitiveness in Europe.
In addition to the five already known models—Kardian, Duster, Grand Koleos, Boreal, and Filante—Renault brand plans to accelerate its global growth strategy by launching 14 new models by 2030. Renault will particularly prioritize hubs in Latin America, Korea, and India. Taken together, these regions are assessed as markets with potential comparable to Europe.
The platform strategy is also notable. Renault plans to develop global vehicles through shared platforms, strategic partnerships by market, and agile local organizations, while adjusting them to the unique requirements of each market. In particular, it aims to strategically cross-utilize the GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) and CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platforms secured through cooperation with Geely, greatly expanding zero-emission and low-emission vehicle lineups centered on Brazil and Korea. In practice, Filante, launched in March by Renault Korea as Project Aurora 2, showed how the robust fundamentals characteristic of the CMA platform and 250-horsepower-class E-Tech hybrid technology can combine to demonstrate how Renault’s vision of “realistic electrification” appears in a concrete result.
This means Renault can no longer grow through a simple “single expansion centered on European headquarters.” It is a structure that seeks to secure speed and cost advantages by utilizing platform sharing, external cooperation, and regional production hubs, while at the same time preserving brand identity and market adaptability. In other words, rather than trying to control the future entirely by itself, Renault is distinguishing between what can be controlled and what can be shared, and combining the two.

The Bridger concept is a show car symbolizing Renault’s global offensive. It is described as a sub-4-meter SUV that seeks to attract new customers in the B-segment and establish a new benchmark for urban driving. It is the forerunner of the first vehicle to be developed in India within two years, and depending on the market it will be offered in internal-combustion, hybrid, and electric versions. It will first be launched in India in 2027 and then gradually expanded to other markets.

India Is a Core Hub
Bridger Is a Symbolic Model

India is one of the key pillars of the plan. 마카오 슬롯 sees India as one of the fastest-growing automotive markets in the world, driven by electrification and expanding SUV sales. 마카오 슬롯 has been present in India for 15 years and has secured a deep understanding of the market and an integrated local ecosystem.
Accordingly, India is set to become not only a base for 마카오 슬롯s domestic market, but also a global production and supply hub for many other countries. By 2030, four new models will be designed and assembled in India, including 100% electric vehicles and full hybrids.
The Bridger concept is a show car symbolizing Renault’s global offensive. It is described as an SUV under 4 meters in length that will attract new customers in the B-segment and present a new benchmark for urban driving. This vehicle is the forerunner of the first car to be developed in India within two years under Renault Group’s new standards, and it will be developed on the RGMP small platform. Depending on the market, it will be offered in internal-combustion, hybrid, and electric versions, first launching in India by the end of 2027 and then gradually expanding into other markets.
The meaning of Bridger lies less in design details than in structure. The combination of a small SUV, multi-energy powertrains, India-based development and production, and then global rollout encapsulates Renault’s future method of global expansion.

Not Defining the Future as One

In this strategy, 마카오 슬롯 set out a goal of launching 26 new products over the next four years and selling more than 2 million passenger cars and light commercial vehicles combined by 2030. In Europe, it aims to maintain its status as a leading mainstream brand driving the energy transition on the basis of E-Tech electric and E-Tech full hybrid, with the goal of electrifying 100% of sales. At the same time, outside Europe, it plans to leverage growth and electrification potential to achieve half of its sales outside Europe and raise the proportion of electric and hybrid powertrains to 50%.
The futuREady strategy shows that 마카오 슬롯 does not define the future as one thing. In Europe, it is preparing for an EV-centered transition while not letting go of hybrids. SDV is being applied step by step, starting with realizable domains such as commercial vehicles and cockpit experiences. Global expansion, too, is unfolding not by uniformly increasing a single model, but by combining regional hubs, shared platforms, and local adaptation.
What is distinctive about Renault is that it does not package this future as some grand technological narrative. Instead, it ties together external partnerships, multi-energy strategies, regional production bases, and phased SDV deployment into realistic stages of transition. What Renault has put forward is not so much a declaration that “we will lead the future,” but rather a plan showing what combinations may actually be possible in a fragmented market.

Filante is strong evidence of how the CMA platform and realistic electrification have taken shape as a concrete result.
